Key Dates

Thursday 9 November 2023

The installation of the final asphalt layer will be completed in one night, the shoulder will be re-opened the next day for parking, weather permitted.

Overview

We are currently informing both business and the community about our plans to undertake night road improvement activities on the eastern section of Bligh Street, spanning from Talbragar to Church Street in Dubbo.

The primary goal of these roadworks is to enhance the road surface quality and reinstate parking availability on the eastern side of Bligh Street.

These improvements are scheduled to commence on Monday, October 9th, 2023, and are expected to last for a duration of two weeks, contingent upon weather conditions.

Night work hours will be as follows:

Commencing at 6 pm and concluding at 6 am, including Saturdays.

During the course of these works, there will be some temporary alterations to traffic flow:

  • Southbound traffic will be redirected via Talbragar, Macquarie, and Church Streets, while northbound traffic will remain unaffected.
  • Pedestrians will be directed to Macquarie Street for the duration of the works.
  • Parking will not be permitted on the eastern side of Bligh Street for the duration of the road improvement project.
  • Access to the Riverdale Car Park will be limited, with entry allowed only through the Talbragar Street entrance.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this period.
