which will go to a Council Meeting in the near future, where you will again be

The Community Engagement Strategy including Participation Plan outlines our Statutory Planning and Strategic Planning commitment to how, what and window of community engagement we will undertake.
The Local Government Act (1993) specifies minimum mandatory exhibition timeframes for some planning related matters. The public exhibition is determined under the provision of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 (EPA&A Act).
Our 2023-2027 Community Engagement Strategy (Including Participation Plan) states the Development Application Process for development consent (other than for complying development certificate or for State Significant Development) requires a Consult level of engagement which includes a 14 day* public exhibition period.
*Council may extend the public exhibition period without further notification to those already notified.
*Development applications considered to have negligible impacts are not required to be notified.
Council notify adjoining and/or adjacent owners where Council considers the proposal may have an impact on them.
Community are notified by a public notices in the local newspapers.
Application Tracker is a tool to track the progress of development applications, construction certificates and complying development certificates.
The date shown in the 'Due Date' column is the estimated completion date of each stage. The 'Application under Assessment' due date is the 28th day after lodgement which is Council's desired target date for determination. Whilst every effort will be made to determine the application by this target date, many different factors affect the capacity of staff to do so.
When an application is made to Council on a proposed development, staff are required to:
When an application is submitted on behalf of Crown (State) and holds a Capital Investment Value greater than $5 million, the development is considered ‘regionally significant’ under State planning legislation. This means that the application is to be assessed by Dubbo Regional Council.

The WRPP is a State Government panel comprised of two representatives nominated by Council and three representatives appointed by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
The WRRP are the determining authority for Regionally Significant applications.
