As the mayor, I'd try to keep the streets and recreational areas cleaner, and add a few more paths and crossings.

I would create more concerts and markets for us to attend and discover. Orientated to youth and done by youth.

Walking around the main street with friends during the day with randoms and their unpredictable behaviours makes us feel unsafe.

I would improve our public spaces. Enhancing our parks and recreational facilities will provide safe and enjoyable places for families.

Overview

Council is developing the Youth Action Plan, to reflect the goals and dreams of today’s youth in our community and shape future programs, activities and opportunities that will provide meaningful contribution to the lives of 12 to 25 year olds across Dubbo, Wellington and the surrounding villages.

We want to create a program that clearly sets out Council’s key commitments to the young people who live, work, visit and study in our local government area, but first we need your ideas to help guide that document.

Council can assist in supporting our youth to feel community, wellbeing, connected and work ready.

To make sure you are heard, participate in our activities or let us know your priorities and ideas before Friday 15 December 2024.
