A representative sample of 500 residents were surveyed by phone between 29th April and 20th May 2024 across the Dubbo Local Government Area by an independent company.
The survey was to gauge community satisfaction with Council's:
- response to water supply failures
- water quality and town water service
- response to sewerage system requests
- town sewerage service
Some encouraging improvements were noted in 2024, relative to the results from the previous survey in 2022:
- The satisfaction with both response time and workmanship has largely recovered
- MyDRC Water customer portal has increased to 24%. The majority of residents use the portal to monitor their usage
- Of these people 8% stated they have reduced their water usage based on information within the portal.
