Overview
Dubbo Regional Council has initiated a shoulder sealing project on Gisborne Street. The project scope of work includes reconstruction and bitumen sealing to Gisborne Street shoulders, between Lee Street and Percy Street on both sides of the road.
The primary objective of this undertaking is to improve the current shoulder surface, creating a smoother driving experience for vehicles and mitigating maintenance requirements. Additionally, the project aims to protect against the impacts of weather and traffic, thereby enhancing the longevity of the road infrastructure.
Staged works
Stage 1 (Red line marked in the map below) | Staged shoulder closures on Gisborne Street, between Lee Street and Percy Street
This window of works has commenced and proposed 10 days duration, weather permitting.
Stage 2 (Green line marked in the map below) | Staged shoulder closures on Gisborne Street, between Percy Street to Thornton Street
The duration of works has commenced from 8 February and proposed three weeks, weather permitting.
Possible impacts include:
- restricted access to driveways;
- limited parking spaces;
- noise associated with works.
