Dubbo | Elston Park Lighting Upgrades

Overview

Elston Park, located on Cobra Street, is set to receive new pedestrian lighting along the diagonal pathway from Bultje Street to Fitzroy Street. Funding of $80,000 was identified in the 2023/2024 budget for these improvements.

The scope of works include:

Underground cable improvements to support the new lighting system
The upgrade of 13 new LED-lit poles.

Construction will be completed in sections, with temporary fencing along parts of the footpath to keep the area as accessible to the public as possible.

Once finished, the upgrades will enhance pedestrian safety and visibility throughout Elston Park.

Pedestrian lighting was removed in 2019 due to advanced internal corrosion of the light poles.
