Community Participation

📑Overview

We measure the community’s overall satisfaction with Council’s performance by delivering a survey every two years. The survey provides an opportunity to understand the community’s priorities, explore experiences when dealing with Council across the many facilities and services and measure the overall satisfaction with Council’s performance.

This survey is one tool we explore to gather community insights and sentiment against our Integrated Planning and Reporting framework. The survey is intricately designed to directly align with our Towards 2040 Community Strategic Plan. Its outcomes will play a crucial role in shaping the development of our Delivery and Operational plans for 2024/2025. Furthermore, the insights gathered will inform our strategies for delivering services in the future. By participating in the survey, you'll help us identify key community priorities, highlight our successes, pinpoint areas requiring greater attention, and identify areas for enhancement. Your input will guide us in delivering services that truly meet the needs of our community.

The Community Insights Survey (formerly known as the Community Satisfaction and Needs Survey) involves a statistically valid phone survey, where 500 members of the community will answer questions from our independent research partner, Micromex. The survey is estimated to require around 20 minutes of your time, depending on the extent of information you choose to provide. It will be active for a period of 10 days, concluding on Monday 25 March 25, 2024.

We understand that not everyone in our community may have a chance to share their thoughts during the statistically valid phone survey. To ensure everyone's voice is heard, we're launching an input survey for all residents. This survey will run alongside our phone survey but will gather separate data sets to ensure comprehensive feedback from all.
