The Application submitted by Barnson Pty Ltd will have a Capital Investment Value greater than $5 million.

Therefore, the Application is required to be determined by Council’s Infrastructure Planning and Environment Committee. Council staff will co-ordinate the assessment process and public exhibition, and be the point of contact during the exhibition and assessment period, before making a recommendation to the Council Committee for determination.

The application is proposed to be extended beyond the standard 14 day exhibition period to 19 days, during which time public submissions can be made to Council.

In addition, the application would also be exhibited in the local print media to support feedback through YourSay.

The development is for temporary workers accommodation this is not aligned to a specific renewable energy project. It is proposed to be general accommodation to be provided for any infrastructure project in the region.

The accommodation is proposed to be located on privately owned land.

Council was not involved in site selection; this was at the discretion of the Applicant. It is assumed it was chosen noting it is a large residentially zoned site than has access to the necessary utility services.
