Overview
Teamsters Park in Montefiores is planned to undergo significant upgrades to the tennis courts and playground facilities after funding was secured from the NSW Government of $521K to improve Crown Reserves.
The scope of work includes:
- Renewing one tennis court and converting the other toa multisport surface to provide a range of recreational opportunities.
- Installation of a new perimeter fence
- Addition of sport-specific equipment
- Full replacement of the playground equipment and adding additional elements to extend the play opportunities for a broader range of children.
Teamsters park is an essential community asset, and this grant will fund crucial upgrades that will secure its longevity and maintain its appeal for all residents of Montefiores and Wellington.
The upgrades are scheduled to begin in May 2025, with completion proposed for July 2025.
