Pop-up shop brings more art and culture to airport

5 December 2023

Western Aboriginal Artists, Teresa Yasserie and Tom Carney have opened the first pop-up shop at Dubbo Regional Airport.

Earlier this year the airport invited local and regional businesses to register an expression of interest to showcase their products in the terminal in Dubbo, following the closure of the former landside café.

Wiradjuri artist Teresa Yasserie from Dubbo – Peak Hill and Wayilwan artist Tom Carney who lives in Narromine are the first to occupy the area, showcasing their artworks to thousands of local travellers and visitors each month.

The space will then be leased to Devil's Hollow Brewery who will be doing tasting and sales for two weeks towards the end of January/early February before the Western Aboriginal Arts group take up the space again in February.
