Polystyrene from packaging can now be recycled at the Wellington Waste Facility and the village transfer stations.

The trial will allow residents in those areas to drop off their polystyrene waste in the Foam Muncher bins at the sites - you just have to make sure it is clean and free of any tape or other materials.

The polystyrene will then be collected and transferred to the Whylandra Waste and Recycling Station where the Foam Muncher vehicle will come on site and melt it into blocks.

The Polystyrene Recycling Trial will be operate for three months and then will be assessed to determine potential for continuation at Wellington and the transfer stations.
