Overview

Council has received an application for a Development Application (DA) for the temporary workers accommodation from Spicers Creek Wind Farm Pty Ltd on behalf of Squadron Energy. The proposed DA aims to accommodate up to 400 construction workers for the approved Spicers Creek Wind Farm, located east of Wellington. The site will feature demountable buildings for worker housing, along the ancillary facilities including car and bus parking, a dining room, laundry, reception, relaxation areas, BBQ spaces and a gymnasium.

Council will undertake engagement and assessment of the DA before preparing it for the Western Regional Planning Panel to determine the final outcome.

The DA includes architectural plans and designs, along with a series of specialist reports including the Environmental Sustainability Report, Aboriginal Cultural Assessment Report and Social Impact Assessment.

This DA will be on public exhibition from 9am, Friday 11 April 2025 and will close 5pm, Monday 12 May 2025. Formal submissions will be accepted during this time.
