Dubbo Regional Council and Narromine Shire Council are jointly initiating a project seeking valuable insights from our communities for the development of a Drought Resilience Plan. This plan aims to build community resilience during drought and establish a proactive approach to drought events for both the short and long term.

The successful grant application was a collaboration between Dubbo Regional Council and Narromine Shire Council, which received $200,000 from the Regional Drought Resilience Planning (RDRP) round 2 Grant.

Independent consultants will be appointed to undertake community engagement activities that are inclusive, accessible and reflect our communities to harness insights in the development and implementation of the Drought Resilience Plan.

Here are some activities where you can get involved

  • Drought Resilience Survey

    Take 15 minutes to answer our consultation survey, so we can gain an understand your impacts of drought. The results will help us identify priorities for investment and focus.

  • Wellington Rotary Markets

    We will be roaming amongst the stalls and activities to capture further feedback towards the Drought Resilience Plan.

    We will be there to answer your questions and gather your feedback on the Drought Resilience Plan.

    Our pop-up stall will be located in front of Dubbo Square.

    We can be found at the Ray Clarke Pavillion at the Dubbo Regional Council pop-up.
