Overview

In July 2024, we introduced a trial of a new, bookable bulky rubbish collection service. This replaced the previous fixed-date system and allows eligible residents to book a collection at a time that suits them throughout the year.

The trial has delivered positive outcomes to date, including reduced operational costs, increased diversion of waste from landfill, and a more flexible approach to waste management for our community.

Originally scheduled to run for 12 months, the trial was extended until 30 June 2026 to allow us to better understand community expectations and experiences with bulky rubbish collection services.

As part of this process, we are seeking feedback from eligible residents who have not used the service. Your input will help us understand any barriers to booking the service and inform future decisions about how bulky rubbish collection services are delivered.
