Ballimore Road Stage 2 – Works Re-Open

The Ballimore Road Stage 2 project has re-opened. The original scope of works - completed ahead of schedule and under budget in May 2025, was delivered successfully. With approval from the NSW Government’s Fixing Local Roads Program, the Infrastructure Delivery Team is using the remaining funds to repair an additional 600 metres of road.

Further improvement works have now commenced north of the Ballimore Road and Wongajong Lane intersection to enhance road conditions along the corridor.

The scheduled works include:

Upgrading the road surface from gravel to bitumen seal
Implementing preliminary drainage improvements
Removing selected trees and installing tree hollows

Changed traffic conditions will reflect the progression of the works and are subject to change.

The total project budget is $1,791,178.75, including $1,432,943.00 funded by the NSW Government's Fixing Local Roads Program and $358,235.75 from Dubbo Regional Council.

Community consultation

Courtesy notices have been sent to directly impacted residents, and direct consultations have been conducted.

Construction works

Roadworks have been completed;
Linemarking was completed on 28 May 2025.

Additional works commence

An additional 600 metres of road repair north of Ballimore Road and Wongajong Lane.

Project completion is expected by mid-December.
