Overview

Together with Squadron Energy this Public Private Partnership will deliver for community an Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant; infrastructure that will enhance our region's water security.

Squadron Energy will contribute $3.6 million towards the $7 million plant which will be located on the site of the Dubbo Sewerage Treatment Plant.

The new plant will treat water generated by the Dubbo Sewer Treatment Plant to a higher standard, providing Squadron Energy with recycled water for construction purposes, including concrete batching and dust control. Looking into the future, Council will investigate additional uses for recycled water, in conjunction with the University of Newcastle, including the irrigation of parks and recreational areas along the river.
