Overview

Heavy patching works are continuing throughout the year as schedules are confirmed. These priority locations have been selected due to severely damaged or deformed road surfaces, often caused by bad weather, increased traffic, or ageing pavement.

What the work involves:

The repair process may include the following steps:

  • The existing road surface is crushed, and the underlying gravel is pulverised using road reclaimer machinery.
  • A binder is added to strengthen the base.
  • The pavement is then watered, compacted, trimmed, and sealed with a new surface.

Our road crews will move systematically through each location. Please follow any traffic management signage and obey directions if you encounter Stop/Slow controls.

We understand these works may temporarily affect things like bin collection and school traffic. Our road crews will be on site to respond if required.
