  • Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets

    Council proposes to allocate funds to a new shade structure and renew the rubber matting both for the cattle yards at the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets (DRLM). To continue to improve and enhance animal welfare and infrastructure at the DRLM it is proposed to the renew the thick rubber matting and build a new shade structure for the cattle yards.

  • Dubbo Regional Airport runway

    It is proposed to allocate $5.67M for asset renewal and capital works at the Dubbo Regional Airport. The Dubbo Regional Airport runway strengthening project will occur across the coming two years. This project is supported by grant funding of $14.6M from the Australian Government Growing Regions Program – Round 2. It will see significant structural upgrades to the runway to allow larger aircraft to use the facility.

  • Advanced Waste Water Treatment Facility

    Dubbo Regional Council and Squadron Energy aim to deliver a new advanced wastewater treatment facility. Council proposes to contribute $5.1M towards the facility at the Dubbo Sewerage Treatment Plant and filling station. This partnership will aim to deliver an asset for the community that will improve the region’s resilience in times of drought.

  • Dubbo Regional Airport Solar Car Park

    Council proposes to install a 510kWh solar canopy over a third of the Dubbo Regional Airport’s public parking area. This project is a significant step in Council’s journey towards net zero operations and is co-funded by the Australia Government Community Energy Upgrades program. The installation will provide 79% of the airport’s annual energy needs from onsite renewables and storage.
