Overview

Powter Park’s BMX Track need's a new direction for the kids and families who love to ride. The track has been closed since early 2025 due to erosion and plans are now in place for outdoor action for bike riders of all ages and levels.

Located on Myall Street, North Dubbo the track has provided riders with hours of pedal power, jumps and straights for freestyle, fun or racing.

This will guide our next phase in seeking funding opportunities for planning, design and construction.

💬 We want to hear from you! Should the track be fixed for BMX racing again, or turned into a pump track that’s great for a pedal free ride?

  • BMX Track

A BMX track is a dirt course made for fast and thrilling bike races! It’s full of jumps, twists, and steep sections that test your riding skills.

These tracks are best for BMX or mountain bikes, and they’re usually used by riders who like a bit of a challenge with stunts and jumps or enjoy fast racing. 🚵‍♀️🚴

  • Pump Track

A pump track is like a playground for wheels! It’s a smooth loop with little hills (called rollers), banked turns, and cool curves that let you ride without pedalling. Instead, you “pump” your body up and down to keep moving, it’s a fun way to build balance and riding skills!

Whether you're just starting out or already a pro, pump tracks are made for everyone. You can ride all year round, and even when the weather’s not perfect, it’s always ready for action! 🛴🚲🛹🛼
